Lots to do...

School is going great! I really enjoy all my classes. I already had to write one of many papers for my human cognition capstone class. The work is really starting to pile up! So for my cross culture psychology class I am suppose to interview a person who lived in a different country the first 18 years of their life. I chose to interview my former Italian teacher. She is a very interesting women and has lived in many different countries including Italy of course. I am scheduled to meet with her for coffee on Wednesday at 2pm. I am excited!

Last night Steven's friend Kalem came to visit and see a comedy show with Steve and Chad. After the comedy show I met up with them at Chad's house to play Rock Band! It was fun. When we got back to the apartments Kalem gave Steve and I a surprise! It was a balloon penguin that a lady he works with made! It is so cute! :) Well I don't have much more to say! I just got finished cleaning the apartment and get ready to head to Walgreens to get a new nail art pen! :) Hope everyone has a good weekend!

School Days

Well I started my classes! They all seem very interesting! I hope they aren't too hard. My human cognition capstone seems pretty rough! I hope I can get through it ok!

It is weird only going to school two days a week! Since I don't really have much homework yet I have just been sitting around my apartment! I am sure when the homework starts up I will have plenty to be working on during my free time!

My grandma...Mammy.... gave me this little worm family to take to Columbia with me! I have them sitting on my bedside table right next to my alarm clock! I get to wake up to their happy little faces every morning! I love them...they are so cute!

Well I don't have too much more too say! It has been a pretty relaxing weekend! Karlee came over Friday night and we made banana cookies! They are so yummy!

Hope everyone is enjoying this fall-like weather!

Back to Thinking...

I cannot believe that summer is over already! It just flew by way to fast! I will be leaving to go back to Columbia soon to start my classes! I am taking 'Emotional Disorders of Children' , 'Cross Cultural Psychology' , Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech Mechanism' , and my Human Cognition capstone where I am required to write out my own experiment and test it with people on campus. It is going to be a tough year, but I think my classes are all very interesting!

Summer was great while it lasted! Even though I worked all summer, I still made time to do almost everything I wanted to do! Just the other weekend Steve and I went to our friends' wedding. Mitch Godsey and Sarah Dankel were married on August 8th! We have known both of them since high school! I can't believe they are married! It is so crazy! Steve and I are both so happy for them!

My last day of work was on August 13th! My roommate, Margaret, came over to my house to stay with me for her birthday weekend! We had lots of fun celebrating her birthday! Steve's birthday is tomorrow, August 22nd. I already gave him his birthday present! I got him some Adidas cologne, a nice polo shirt, and
a new football! He was so excited about his presents! I think he liked them a lot!

Well I am off to school really soon! I hope everyone is having a good week and a stress free transition as everyone gets back to school and all the after school activities! Tootles!

43-Into the Wild

This past weekend was so much fun! My family and I took a weekend trip to a cabin out past Steelville Missouri. It was way out in the middle of no where. This made us a little nervous because the closest hospital was an hour away. The only scare we ended up having was that Karlee was bit by a copper head through her tennis shoe. It didn't end up being too bad, but we took her to the hospital any way just to be safe. Besides that, we all had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful and there was a lake and many hiking trails to enjoy! We had so much fun fishing and swimming during the day and sitting around a bonfire at night!

Steve is finally home for the last three weeks of summer, so it will be nice to spend some time with him. My roommate, Margaret's birthday is coming up soon. I think she will be coming to stay with me at my house the weekend of her birthday! I can't wait to see her, I miss her a lot! It has been a long time since I have seen her!

Well I hope everyone had a good weekend! I know I did!

Number 42- Flower Child

Natalie, Megan, Laura and I decided to take pictures of us as hippies chicks from the 60's! It was fun! I wish I didn't have to go back to work on Monday! It has been a nice long four day weekend! Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weather!

#41- Adventures

The past two days my family and I have been out and about doing awesome, fun, things. My dad's birthday was Friday the 17th. On Thursday night we went out to eat and then to the City Garden! It was so pretty with all the exhibits lit up! The weather was just perfect!

Today we went to Elephant Rock State Park! We have not been in so long! It was so much fun! We packed a picnic lunch and climbed many huge rocks! My mom almost had a heart attack with all of us jumping back and forth across the rocks! But it was so awesome and the weather was amazing! On the way there we stopped at many antique shops and bought some old fashioned candy and peanut butter fudge! I had a great couple of days! I think my dad had an awesome birthday!

The 40th Blog- Independence Day

I had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! Friday night we had a girls night with Jennifer, Rose, and the Hahn girls. It was so much fun. We had cheese and wine and lots of other good things to eat like ice cream and snow cones! Rose was having a blast with all of us older girls. She never wanted to leave! :)

Saturday night we had the whole family over for the Fourth of July! We
had lots of food to eat and lots of fireworks to watch! Karlee came in town for the party! It was so nice to get to see her last night! We had lots of fun even though it was a little wet and rainy!

After the rain Karlee, Rose, and I walked around our yard and found all the tree frogs that were making so much noise. Rose also had fun catching all the toads that were swimming around in our pond. Every time she would pick one up out of the pond she would say, " I love you" and then let it jump back in! She is so cute!

Well back to work for the week. On Friday I have a dentist appointment and then I am off to Columbia to see Steven in his play and visit with Karlee! It will be fun! Hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day!
