Christmas Cheer

Last night Margaret, Karlee, Steve and I had a evening of Christmas cheer! We had lots of snacks and good food to eat! For dessert we had chocolate chip cookies, Almond Windmill cookies, and hot chocolate with a shot of Baileys! It was so yummy! I gave Margaret her Christmas present! It is so exciting to see people open up presents you give to them! :) After that we all decided to watch a scary movie called Orphan. It was super weird and freaky! Overall it was a great night! Lots of laughs! Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

This is what I woke up to this morning...

A ton of birds in the tree outside my window...

Including a male and female cardinal! They looked so pretty in the first snow of the year!

I wish I was a well-taken care of cat...

Gosh, there are times that I just wish I didn't have to deal with all this stress! I am applying to graduate school for Speech Pathology and have to get some of my teachers to write me letters of recommendation! I know I should have started this earlier, because now on top of everything else I also have my end of the semester projects and tests to deal with as well. Just have too much on my mind! I also have to take the GRE as soon as I can! I just hate those kind of standardized tests! How can I possibly prepare myself for it! AH! Well as soon as break gets here I will have a few less things to think about! I hate worrying...I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. It is stuff like this that makes me wish I was a carefree, lazy cat...

The Day of the Cardinal

So today while Steve and I were leaving to go to the grocery store, we spotted a big, fat, bright red cardinal sitting on my bird feeder outside my living room window! I have been waiting for a cardinal to land at my feeder! I was so excited to see it! I hope it comes back and brings its friends! Seeing that cardinal today made me so happy! :) Hope everyone else is having a splendid Friday!

The Holiday Season

I cannot believe Thanksgiving is already over! My Thanksgiving break just flew by so fast! I had a lot of fun though! When I get home I went and saw New Moon with Laura! It was really good and I did end up crying...I am such a big baby! :) The next day I went to the Fox Theater in St. Louis with Steve and his parents. We saw a musical called In the Heights. It was great and the music was awesome! During my break I was also able to get together with my friend Gina! It was nice to get to see her again. We went to the mall to eat lunch and shop!

Before Thanksgiving we always decorate the house for Christmas! So we have all of our Christmas trees up and all of the other decorations! I managed to take a few from home to decorate my apartment with :)

Thanksgiving was great! It was nice getting to see my family and my cousin Kelsey who I hardly ever get to see! We had so much fun feasting and playing games! :)

Well now I just have to get through the last few weeks before I have a month long break for the holiday season! I hope everyone else had a splendid holiday!

An Afternoon Adventure

On Saturday, Karlee, Margaret, Steve and I all went to Three Creeks Park to go for a walk and explore this awesome cave! After a long walk back to our cars, we unloaded a cooler of food and drinks and took it with us to this awesome clearing in the woods and made a bonfire! It was so much fun! We cooked hot dogs and pork 'n' beans over the fire and also had some chips and string cheese for dinner! It was yummy...and for dessert we had strawberry marshmallow and white chocolate s'mores! They were delicious! Hope everyone else had time to enjoy the nice weather over the weekend!

We found an old plow! We were going to have Punch pull it, but then we decided Steve was a better idea! :)

Awesome bouncy branch! :)

Cooking some dinner! Yum!
