Thirty 8

So I am finally out of school for the summer! I have been pretty busy with work. I work at Creative Expressions Learning Center. It is a daycare and I work in the classroom with the toddlers! I really like it there! The past couple of free days I had off of work I have been spending them with Steven because he leaves to go back to Columbia for the summer today. He has a payed acting job at the Mizzou theater for the summer. I am proud of him and very excited to see him in his show this July. This coming weekend Laura, Zack, and I are all traveling to Columbia to visit Steve and my cousin Karlee! It is going to be fun! Ryan and Natalie might meet up with us there on Saturday! :) Last night we went to a BBQ at my grandparents house! It was so much fun! I haven't seen them or my aunt Jennifer and two little cousins in a long time! It was so nice to get to see them!

Today Jessica, Natalie, Megan, Jordan and I all went to Villa Antonia Winery! It was so much fun! There was live music and the guy sang a lot of Johnny Cash songs. He sounded just like him! Jess and I split two bottles of wine! :) We all took a walk around the lake and through the vineyards! It was such a gorgeous day for it!

Oh and today we saw a little stray cat, that we call Itty Bitty Kitty, catch a chipmunk and walk away with it in her mouth. Laura and I went out and made her drop it. The chipmunk sat up in a tree for a very long time. The poor thing was in shock!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I know I did!

P.S. Here are some pictures that Natalie, Laura and I took on one of our first days of summer vacation. We tried to make them look like they were set in the 40's!

Trenta Sette! My 21st Birthday!

On May 12th, I turned 21 years old! Wow! I can't believe it! I had my only two finals on Monday, May 11th so I was completely finished with school for my birthday! On my birthday Karlee and I went out to eat down town for lunch and went shopping at a few vintage shops. I found a pair of flats for a dollar. After shopping Karlee and I came back to my apartment and met up with Margaret and her boyfriend Scott to go see the biggest tree ever! When we were out looking at the big tree we stopped at Lucy's bar and bought some fried pickles and mushrooms! They were so good! When we got back home, we picked up Steven and all went out to eat at Addisons, down town for dinner! I ordered a glass of wine. :) When the waitress carded me, she realized that it was my birthday and so I got to pick any of the desserts off of their menu for free! It was so much fun!

On Wednesday, May 13th, my
dad came and picked me up from Columbia to bring me home for the summer! I am so happy that summer is finally here! Steven will be home for a few weeks before he starts his summer theater job back in Columbia. But I will still have my apartment so I will be able to drive to Columbia and visit him for a weekend or two so that will be good! Steven ordered my birthday present online. I am excited to see what it is...it hasn't come yet! On Friday my mom took me shopping for my birthday and out to breakfast! I got some new clothes! I needed some new summer clothes! I also got my hair cut up to about my shoulders! I love it thought! It is so much easier to style! I had a great birthday!

Tonight my dad is cooking us a steak dinner and Steven and Zack are going to come and eat with us! I went out today and bought a bottle of wine for Laura and I to share with dinner! :) My first store purchase! After dinner Natalie Hahn and her boyfriend Ryan are coming
up and we are all gunna hang out! Should be a good time! I am excited! I am glad I was able to have a few days off before I start my work back up at the daycare! Hope everybody else is getting ready to have a great summer! Tootles!

Blog 36- last week in CoMo

Hey everyone,
So last night our Italian class got together for dinner at a restaurant called The Rome. We had such a good time. My four friends and I all got together before the dinner and put a card together for our teacher thanking her for being such an awesome teacher! We all gave it to her at dinner and she was so touched! She loved it! It was so nice just to relax and chat with everyone! My friend Jen and I split some Italian bread pudding and it was so yummy! After that my friends and I took a walk downtown! It was fun!

After the dinner Steve and I went to our friend Val's 21st birthday party! It was themed and you were suppose to dress like a teacher( that is her major). I just wore what I had on for the dinner, but Steve dressed up as one of his well-known theater teachers. Most of the people there were theater people and they got a kick out of Steve's costume! I met Steve's friend Joh
n and his girlfriend Sarah! They were really nice! Sarah talked me into coming out and playing football with the guys after the party! I was a little nervous since I don't really know how to play football, but it turned out to be really fun! We didn't play tackle, just touch, so it wasn't as scary! :) I hope everyone has a good weekend! I only have two more tests and I am finished with school for the summer! I can't wait!

P.S. Do you remember cupcake dolls. They were so cute and I remember they smelled so good. I was just thinking about them because I smelled something that made me remember :)

35

So a few days ago I bought some hemp in a variety of colors to make jewelry! It is so much fun and very soothing to make all the different styles of bracelets and anklets! I need something to keep me relaxed right now! I am so stressed out with everything I have to do as the school year comes to an end. I am currently working on an 8-10 page final draft of a research paper that is due on Monday, I have an oral exam in Italian on Tuesday, and two tests on Wednesday! Ah! I will have a four day weekend to study for my two finals on Monday the 11th though! So that will be good AND I will be out before my 21st birthday!

Today Jordan, my brother, was here in Columbia
to watch some of his friends in the State Music Competition. Karlee, Steve, Margaret, and I all met up with him on campus and hung out with him! We took a walk around campus and it was really nice outside! It was great to get away from my studies for a while!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Summer will be here soon! Just have to get through a few more days! Can I make it?
;)

Trenta-quattro

I had a GREAT weekend. My mom and my Aunt Kerry, Karlee's mom, came here to Columbia on Friday afternoon. They picked Karlee and I up and brought us to Karlee and Kerry's condo at the Lake of the Ozarks. It was so much fun! We watched "Mommy Dearest" together and had snacks and wine. The next day we went to On The Rise for breakfast. My mom and I split Eggs Benedict and some beignets. They were so good! Later that day we went on a boat ride! It was nice, I love boating! When we came back to the condo we had grilled salmon for dinner! Very yummy! I loved spending time with my mom, aunt and cousin. My mom drove me back to Columbia and we had lunch at the Heidelberg. It was my mom's first time eating there! After lunch we went to check out the Earth Day festival. This was the one that was suppose to happen last weekend but was postponed because of the rain. It was very interesting. We got some home-made glass bead necklaces. There were tons of home-made things there, clothes, jewelry, hats, purses, you name it! It was AWESOME! My mom also got to meet my Italian teacher, she was working one of the stands. What a nice relaxing weekend before my last two weeks of school and finals! Can't wait for summer!

# Thirty-2 Spring Cleaning

It was so nice out yesterday! Karlee, Margaret, and I went out and got frozen custard! It was yummy! After that we picked up some brats and made a bonfire over at Karlee's place! We just chilled and listened to music and cooked our brats over the fire! It was nice and relaxing. Later when Steven got out of rehearsal he came over and brought stuff to make s'mores. He got cookies and cream chocolate bars to go on them along with the original chocolate bars. He also brought over strawberry and vanilla and cinnamon flavored marshmallows! These were not your average s'mores and they were fantastic! We had an AWESOME time!

Today was rainy and gloomy! I decided I had to do some spring cleaning! I organized my closet today and brought out my sundress! I am happy that it is starting
to get warm enough again to wear sundresses! I also made a little contraption out of a piece of jean material to hold all of my earrings! It is nice to be able to see all of them! So yeah...very productive day! Tomorrow is the Earth Day festival! They close off a few streets in downtown Columbia for the festival. There are bands that play, food, and people selling homemade things (like jewelry)
They are also giving away free trees! Karlee, Steve, Margaret, and I plan on checking that out tomorrow! I hope it doesn't rain!
